POSSE OPP / syndication links practices just made it a lot easier to find nearly 10 year old copies of photos that broke on my own post. Highly recommended if anyone is not doing OPP/syndication links as part of their POSSE setup

yeah it's just I can't find any information on what the request/response looks like for it. I do know that for the <cloud> tag. I can guess at what the request will look like for the XML-RPC variant, but I have no clue for the HTTP POST variant or the SOAP variant

lol reminds me of the Mastodon issue where when it receives a remote post with a link via AP, and tries to generate a link preview, and the link fetch times out, it just silently drops the post 🤦‍♂️

Re "would the person favoriting have..." that's a larger question around what should or should you not display in a reply context on your site, especially if the the audience of the the thing you're replying to is different from the audience of your post
