starrwulfe looks like that's https://github.com/snarfed/bridgy/issues/1604 . rare, but definitely still a bug. sorry for the trouble! we've known about it for a while but don't know the root cause yet

[snarfed] while you're around, can you recheck any Bridgy Fed bugs you have noticed with/against Mozilla.social? It should be working much more like default Mastodon now so hopefully some of those issues are resolved

on the positive side, for anyone who has transitioned from Mastodon to using their own site with Bridgy Fed, here's an SSG for your Mastodon export of old posts in case you want something up relatively quickly before a full backfill: https://github.com/lmorchard/fossilizer/releases/tag/v0.2.0

funny, on a related note, I may actually need to self host a bit of DNS (for the first time ever) for Bridgy Fed. not looking forward to that. https://github.com/snarfed/bridgy-fed/issues/744

[Al_Abut] Bridgy Fed gives you a path to replacing and abandoning your existing Mastodon account. That's the point

[Al_Abut] no, Bridgy Fed doesn't integrate with any existing Mastodon account. it turns your web site into its own fediverse account

[tantek] I’m interested in that dashboard approach. Does that also work with Bridgy Classic, so I don’t have to spin up a new dedicated Mastodon account for my blog?
