For better or worse, Micro.blog uses absolute URLs for everything. Just makes things more compatible with apps that don’t handle relative links well. The main downside is if something changes like your domain name, I have to automatically rewrite all the URLs and save all the posts again. But it works.

Ouf! I'm having a hard time wading through that commit. Is there a website that explains how it works? Or a web search I can try?

But I did confirm that the web mention route did work for Twitter, as I saw the tweet it posted and everything looked okay. I know that was supposed to be micro pub, but at least it works

[pfefferle] It works well with my test data. Meant to come back and advise.

ross[m] I’m mostly avoiding reading Twitter, but there were a few accounts I didn’t want to miss out on. I’m reading them in my RSS reader via Feedbin, which actually does a really nice job of automatically expanding links and some threads right into the entry. Since I’m drawing a hard line at writing (posting, liking, retweeting) to Twitter, it works well.

awesome. Of course you know I'm gonna be weird and try do both at the same time because I'm curious and the @-@ handles are different anyway. Might be a cool way to have multiple AP feeds from the same place if it works🤔

[tantek]and [snarfed] ever thought about doing a short screencast series together to show functionality so folks like to2ds can see how it works? It's a really nice hunk of code that makes it all run, and it's pretty reliable too.

Funny enough I have not touched instalooter in a while but it’s been very useful to me. IG is a moving target for the developers but it works well. Feel free to call me out here it or in github. :)
