I X-d out my profile pic on X and went private, so that deters me when I'm tempted to post there

[Joe_Crawford] for me, there is the side effect of very high organic search rankings when I post there

On the theory that I might get *someone* to engage with and learn about IndieWeb and San Diego when I announced IWC San Diego I did post to Twitter. But without actually putting money into that bad place I don't believe there's enough casual engagement to discover something indieweb or san diego to matter.

I see that clicking the "N minutes ago" hyperlink about my post on https://fed.brid.gy/ap/@jmac@masto.nyc returns "No log found!" so I wonder if I might have jumped the gun a bit here

Then I made a Mastodon post, which shows up at posted on https://fed.brid.gy/ap/@jmac@masto.nyc, whoo! Buuuut the post isn't visible on https://bsky.app/profile/jmac.masto.nyc.ap.brid.gy. Did I miss a step?

Indeed! But I don't know why Bluesky (this is Bluesky, not Mastodon) makes the preview for my hand-pasted post, and not the Bridgy-posted one that has the same link in it

streak is the repeated performance of some action (like publishing a post) at some regular frequency (like daily), that is typically only recognized after some number of uninterrupted instances at that frequency, and used by some silos as a form of gamification to encourage regular use of the silo or its apps, and could be used by an indieweb site to encourage personal positive behaviors https://indieweb.org/streak

A challenge on the indieweb can either mean a blogging challenge, a list of questions to answer or a topic to write about in a post, sometimes tagged/invited by others to do so, or an ongoing event-like post which invites people to post achievements towards a goal for a specific time period, like exercise or posting photos at some frequency (daily), also supported by silos like Strava and micro.blog https://indieweb.org/challenge
