  • [mastodon.social/tags/webmention] #til that it seems like #bridgy doesn't send a #webmention for a reply that's marked as "unlisted". I couldn't find anything 100% specific about that in their docs, but it clearly states that "Bridgy only shows and sends webmentions for fully public posts and responses". • bridgy doesn't store webmentions for you, so not sure what you mean there

  • I've been thinking about webmentions and bridgy - I like the idea of comment syndication, but I still have reliance on webmentions and bridgy services being up and maintained - and these are pretty new projects in the grand scheme of things. Have there been any discussions on the subject? Like, do people backup webmentions locally?

  • [snarfed] I had a dev question about Bridgy Fed: for a post bridged from ActivityPub to ATProto using BF, is it possible to get the URI of the new post on the AT side, so I can link to it on my site? I see the docs mention that there's a URL to the original Fediverse post in the AT record, but is it possible to go the other way? Thanks in advance.

  • I liked that post before you first sent it to BF, so it looks like you hit https://github.com/snarfed/bridgy-fed/issues/1835

  • bridgy translates mastodon posts to webmentions and http://webmention.io is what keeps track of the mentions
