Another view of analytics is that like anything indieweb, ask yourself what specifically are you getting out of putting something on your personal site? if you're not sure what you're getting out of it, remove it. the simpler a personal site, the better. less admintax, better for the users/viewers/environment etc.

Whatever you're comfortable with really. I don't think removing analytics in particular is a key part of the indieweb. There's various reasons people may choose different analytics options, or to not have them.

In the spirit of this community I have decided to remove the google analytics i added a couple days ago (was planning to track where my traffic was coming from as a habit from having an internet marketing background). I think for this site I will let go of that tool and judge my reach based on engagement and natural interaction, and concentrate more on writing. At some point I will l
