Seirdy, I can state that factually the different technical decisions in the Social Web WG (that produced Activity Pub) did *not* primarily come from different community models. I think you're mistaking an effect for a cause.

aaronpk, both meta & dev, sorta more #indieweb-meta so replying here. re: "Should we restart meetings at the W3C social CG to try to actually improve the standard and interop?" — Evan reached out to me about what should we do with the current resurgence of indieweb/activitypub interest, while I was away. I replied with some ideas but yes there are some possibilities there.

I believe such actions must not be hardcoded for Mastodon, or ActivityPub, or Twitter for that matter, and instead should be based on an open standard that any of them could implement
