That said, let's keep them compatible for as long as possible and I would love if you could check why the AP plugin might not work and how we can fix it. We already have all of the Settings also for the classic editor, but I am not sure what else needs to be done

I think all of the plugins started as WordPress plugins and it would be sad if we couldn't make use of new features, only because ClassicPress is not keeping up!?

As for the icon set, I agree with you fully it's gotten a lot bigger than originally. I have not yet come up with a solution that doesn't require us to curate a list or the users to do manual work... ideas
