aaronpk: and that was a terrible idea. I don't have the link to the exact essay I read about it, but conforming to two specs at once is a bad idea because people only test one of them and it's a different one for each person

The possibility is that the other side doesn't support it properly, or the plugin doesn't. I'm curious how to test that.

Ah, OK. Well, my workouts go to Strava, so it’s the general data I need. I got so far, but it was a pain to build up. I need a better way to test. The mirroring might help me. It’s on my list.

I regularly test with screenreaders and other assistive tech, and `<title>` is poorly supported. ARIA is a generally better option, but know that ARIA labels on `<span>` elements is actually invalid, unless you also provide the relevant role (in this case I'm guessing "image")

Hmm, does anyone use web text to speech software? Maybe just to test things? I'd like to see whether `<svg><title>foo</tltle></svg>` is better than `<span arial-label=foo></span>`.

As for curl, yeah, I suppose plain text would be easier to read in terminal output compared to text enclosed in html tags. But how many people read the web by issuing curl commands in a terminal, except to test something out?
