  • [edit] in Australia, you're liable for comments made (and presumably shown) on your posts (at least on Facebook). a whole new wrinkle in the "what from received webmentions should I show or not?" question https://gizmodo.com/facebook-users-liable-for-all-comments-under-their-post-1847633797

  • snowlesstaco, I know there are several here who do these practices variously under the various labels /digital_garden /zettelkasten /commonplace_book. Personally I think Bob Doto's book is one of the better places to start. Scheper can be longwinded and obtuse. Umberto Eco's How to Write a Thesis is also excellent.

  • [dshanske] we have a vulnerability in the indieweb plugin... wordfence contacted me, but they have a really bulky login/verification method, so I would love to have the pr live (it implements a lot of escaping).

  • No Hello is a philosophy and website encouraging people to “Just ask the question” instead of saying "hi", "yo", "hello", "anyone there?", "you there?" in chat or direct messages (texts or DMs), with several IndieWeb community members encouraging this practice of getting to the point in their own communication protocols https://indieweb.org/no_hello

  • Happy to help! Yeah, you can create a link to any page with square brackets around the text, so that example link I used would be: `[[User:Crystaltouchton.com/community-norms]]` You can do that even if the page doesn't exist yet, in which case the link will be red. Clicking a red link should prompt you to create the page, if you're signed in.

  • gRegor: Until creating my user page, I'd never done anything on a wiki. I didn't know a subpage was an option. So, I'd create it there, much like a post on my blog, and just link to it from my user page?
