Seb[d]: ran into a problem with gimme-a-token. The Redirect URI in Step 1 is "https://nonexisting-domain.invalid/redirect_uri" but in Step 3 is "http://nonexisting-domain.invalid/redirect_uri", causing the token fetch to fail. the protocol seems to change from https to http.

the point is robust fallback, i.e. there are LOTS of reasons a script may "fail", not just "JS is not enabled"

Oh for sure, I get excited about the early days, to see where they go, how they fail, etc. So this is just an exciting moment for me where I think it may be worth trying it out and seeing how it works, what it does, etc.

I'd expect there to be a name af a place or something in the post itself if it matters. If it doesn't and only coordinates are given, maybe simply showing those on a piece of map is a healthier approach than trying to guess which of a dozen cafes in that building the post was written in (and fail, because it was either author's office in the same building or the pub that is comfortably located in the backyard :)

<capjamesg[d]> "Error handling is all good..." <- Oh, mine is a static one. The server emails me if there are issues during a rebuild, other than that there are no errors to expect. Of course, Apache or DNS could fail, but it's too unlikely to bother monitoring ;)
