  • Bridgy Fed doesn't have authed logins btw, if you entered the domain into the form it just sent you to /web/...

  • Did I miss a bridgy fed announcement? I noticed my feed from bridgy fed hadn't updated in a few days and when I went to visit my page it 404s 😅 https://fed.brid.gy/user/martymcgui.re

  • I think rels are parsed as page-level, regardless where they appear in the HTML. Some indieweb things like Bridgy I think do/did support rels for syndication, but it's less common.

  • Xander re "AT replies aren't bridging anyway," sounds like https://github.com/snarfed/bridgy-fed/issues/1720 , that was hopefully fixed around 3p PT today, pls lmk if you're still seeing it!

  • Right now it *looks* like I should be able to crosspost to Bluesky (my bridgy auth worked there) but that post didn’t go live; maybe there is a polling lag?

  • And I’ve utterly failed to auth with mastodon, but I think maybe it’s because I previously setup with bridgy fed and now bridgy won’t let me use regular bridgy instead? I’ll ping them directly

  • hi Indieweb/wordpress folks! I’m a longtime wordpress user (and former wordpress developer) trying to get rolling with Indieweb + bridgy (to crosspost social notes to Mastodon & Bluesky), but so far both my efforts (10-12 hours each time) have sent me back to Jetpack social.

  • Hullo everyone! It's been a long time. I feel the call to make some POSSE posts again and I need some help finding my way around. What I'd like to do is make a post on my own website, and have that show up on my Mastodon server and on Bluesky, with link-backs. Am I right that one way to do this is to set up *two* accounts on Bridgy, one for Mastodon (which I already have) and one for Bluesky, with both listening for new blog posts?

  • Bridgy and BF do, with backoff for errors and whether there are new posts, but those aren't overly "smart"
