Bridgy classic did this back in the day, we called them "promiscuous" webmentions

!tell [snarfed] is there a way to block/delete replies on Bridgy Fed federated bluesky posts? E.g. my most recent post got a charity spam bot reply and I'd like to delete/block it. https://bsky.app/profile/tantek.com.web.brid.gy/post/3mpbt5a25agj2

My understanding was the process looks like post to web site --> webmention Bridgy Fed --> fetch convert URL to get standard.site link

Has anyone else tried linking pages to their standard.site document with Bridgy Fed? I try fetching something like https://web.brid.gy/convert/bsky/https://example.com/mypost like the docs instruct but it returns a app.bsky.feed.post in the header, not a site.standard.document at:// link. Maybe I'm misunderstanding?

[capjamesg]: nothing on the webmention.io side, that would just be re-sending old bridgy mentions i guess

[tantek] thanks for all the details. I remember looking at this with others here a while back, and the conclusion was that it wasn't clear whether or how Mastodon tag feeds worked, and why they weren't in this case. I wouldn't use them on their own to debug anything like whether Bridgy Fed is successfully sending AP updates

Or I guess regular Bridgy.
