[tantek]: I read all the wiki pages about indieauth yesterday, but I still have a hard time to understand what web sign-in can do / how it works without the relmeauth and indieauth protocols/extensions. is there any more info? when I google it there are alot of articles of microsoft about using oauth in windows. ๐ ๐

don't know if this exists already, but for search it works just with a link rel tag like so: <link href="https://serverless.industries/opensearch.xml" rel="search" title="serverless.industries" type="application/opensearchdescription+xml">

I'm running 8.3 on my live site and it works fine, but just upgraded my dev box to 8.4.x and that's when it started complaining

Disadvantages: - it works now because it's not used/done much this way, but if that were to change, it would be ridiculously easy for harvesters to adapt to it; - still prevents non-js users from simply selecting (e.g. clicking) on your email address to email you.

Found on https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Formatting#Text_formatting_markup, apparently `nowiki` with a leading space before it works for those too

[tantek]: how it works is there are 1,999,999 integer values that can be parsed into a solid colour + 6 bright/dark spot intensities. You need a secondary script to figure out which integer you need to generate the CSS blur for any specific image. So you might do it if you are building a cache of webmention author icons on your end, but not if you are hotlinking.

[tantek] i synced my fork and reran `python unspam-stream.py` against the latest _stream_ spam. https://github.com/indieweb/indieweb-chat-archive/pull/77 ... I liked that it works. Don't like that it's necessary.
